For it's smooth trigger, quality construction, pointability, beautiful finish and plain utility, it's hard to beat a Smith Model 10. Here's mine, with the curved grip frame and 4" heavy barrel:

It is funny, I don't have a model 10. I have a 1905 4th change (M&P), a Model 15 (the 10 with adjustable sights), a Model 13 and 65 (the magnum version in blue and stainless), even the magnums with sights (models 19 and 66) but no Model 10...
